Latest News26 Aug, 2010 - Why won't my password work?! Just about everyone will try to login at some point and find that their password does not work and they cannot access their desktop. Before you make the long trip to the IT Office or Library, consider these questions to see if you can fix the problem yourself! - Does a message appear along the lines of "Cannot login at this time" when you try to login? If so, give the computer a restart and try again, otherwise go to the IT Office
- If the screen just 'shakes' with no message appearing, it means the computer can't authenticate you, and either your password is wrong or the computer is not connected to the network. Make sure the blue network cable is clicked in on both ends properly and try again, otherwise see Mr Turner or Mr Andrews to have your password changed.
- Does the screen show the entire list of students and staff in the login window, or just a few such as "Local Administrator" and "Staff Administrator"? If none of the students are showing, the computer is not connected to the network.

To avoid having other students access your account, please ensure you log out correctly at the end of each period. Save your work and close down all your applications before selecting "Log Out" from the Apple Menu. Make sure the Mac returns to the login screen before leaving.
